The editorial team of Pharma Research works to handle every manuscript fairly, promptly and without regard to the authors' nationality, gender, institution or beliefs.

Roles

  • Editor-in-Chief – responsible for the journal's content and for final decisions.
  • Handling editors – manage individual manuscripts, choose reviewers and recommend decisions.
  • Editorial office – technical checks, correspondence and production.

How decisions are made

Decisions rest on the importance, originality, validity and clarity of the work and its relevance to pharmaceutical science. Editors do not handle manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest; these are passed to another editor. Manuscripts submitted by editors themselves go through the same double-blind review, and the submitting editor has no part in the decision.

Timelines

The journal aims to reach a first decision within about six weeks of submission. Delays caused by reviewer availability are explained to authors.
